About This Site

Learn about the purpose, editorial policy, and the team behind delicious sake.

Our Mission

delicious sake is an informational website dedicated to sharing the appeal of Japanese sake with the world. We write for a wide range of readers—from beginners who are curious about sake but don't know where to start, to enthusiasts who want to deepen their knowledge.

We offer more than 90 articles covering sake fundamentals, the brewing process, food pairing, regional characteristics, and storage methods—available in six languages: Japanese, English, French, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. We put special care into explaining technical terminology so that readers outside Japan can accurately understand sake culture.

Editorial Policy

Commitment to Accuracy

Our articles reference reliable sources, including the National Tax Agency's official labeling standards for sake and public materials from the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association. We distinguish facts from opinions and promptly correct any errors we find.

Grounded in First-Hand Experience

Tasting notes and serving suggestions are based on the operator's own experience. We recognize that taste is personal, and we aim to inform rather than dictate.

Continuous Updates

The world of sake keeps evolving—export trends, regulations, and consumer tastes all change. We periodically review published articles and update outdated information.
